THE COTTAGE

Ideally situated a short drive from Lorne and just outside the community of Deans Marsh, Cedarwood Cottage sits among greenery on a 12-acre regenerative farm. Previously part of an old Dairy farm in the rolling green hills, the block boasts easy access to the best parts of the Otways and Surf Coast without the traffic or hustle.

The cottage sleeps four comfortably, with a light-filled kitchen/living/dining space to use at your leisure. Play board games by the log fire, enjoy a barbecue outdoors, listen to the birdlife on the deck, visit the animals nearby, or head out on an adventure! You might even spy the occasional echidna waddling past your window.

WE ARE PET FRIENDLY

We welcome pets and the cottage is very well equipped for dogs. With a securely fenced area around the cottage and a large acre block of grass and bush for your dogs to run and play under supervision (fenced but not for dogs), your dog will have a great holiday here! The entire cottage has wooden floors or tiles. There is a dog-friendly beach in Lorne just 15 minutes away. Many of our guests keep coming back because their dogs have such a good time!

THE OWNERS

Jade and James have lived and worked on Victoria’s Surf Coast for many years, spending every spare minute bushwalking, surfing or gardening. Taking over the property in October 2021, the pair are thrilled to host new and returning guests as they work to regenerate and restore the land and gardens aligned with permaculture principles.

Living with their two beautiful children in the primary residence up the hill, Jade and James are only a phone call or short walk away to answer your questions, provide information or simply come and say g’day! Young Marley is more than willing to tour guests around the chook shed, goat paddock and more.

ACCESSIBILITY

Please note our cottage requires access via stairs with a rail. There are no steps inside. The property overall is flat and graded, with dirt track access to both cottage and your hosts' house.
